Established in 1998, Craig built up a professional transportation company, that focuses on moving your baggage/equipment to your required destination, whilst on your travels in South Africa. Baggage Direct specializes in providing a secure baggage transfer service in the Western Cape, Gauteng, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Kwa-Zulu Natal and Eastern Cape provinces. Baggage Direct gives the customer the luxury of traveling free of heavy luggage. Craig and his team provide a quality service, handling your baggage with care. Baggage Direct offers storage of bags for those that need to travel lightly e.g. flying to game reserves where you are limited to weight, Baggage Direct with securely store your luggage/equipment. To date, we have successfully (and without loss) transferred more than 210 000 bags for a wide range of clients.

How do Baggage Transfers Work?

The transfer process is co-ordinated with your appointed Tour Leader to ensure the efficient transfer of baggage. Porters are arranged to collect the baggage as the pax exit the Arrival's Hall. The baggage is routed to our vehicle where it is counted, loaded and secured. When loading has been completed, the vehicle departs directly for the chosen destination. On arrival, the baggage is unloaded and counted again. In the case of hotels, porters distribute the baggage to the rooms. In the case of air, rail or sea transport, we route the baggage right up to the check-in counter. When possible, we also check-in the baggage prior to the group arriving.
